CNH Testimonials
Meet some of the people who make up our
team and discover what they have to say about working at CNH.
Tom Troch (HR Manager, USA)
My name is
Tom Troch and I have a master degree in labor and organizational psychology
from the University of Ghent. As from the first moment I started studying
psychology, I knew I had a special interest in human resources. After
graduating in 1999 I started working as a HR consultant what gave me the
opportunity to gain my first experience in all kinds of HR related services.
After 3 years I decided to take a next step in my career and I started working
as HR manager for a Belgian company that produces biscuits. At that company I
had my first international experience which made me decide to look for a bigger
international company.
In 2005 I
started working as HR Manager for CNH in Belgium. I applied for a job at CNH
for several reasons. First of all I was looking for a HR related job in an
international environment and quickly I realized that CNH could offer me this
possibility. Furthermore I was also fascinated by the products of CNH. Although
I have no technical background I am strongly interested in the technology used
by CNH and the innovation used for the development of the machines.
CNH gave me
the opportunity to develop myself in an international organization. During the
first months of my employment I had the chance to work together with people
from all over the world. Working in an international environment is really a
great experience and it’s very interesting to deal with people from different
cultures all over the world. After one year my career changed a lot because CNH
offered me the opportunity to work as an HR Manager in the USA. As from the
beginning I was interested in relocation but I had never expected that it would
happen so soon. I think my story shows that CNH is a company that offers a lot
of opportunities to their employees. CNH emphasizes professional and personal
growth together with empowerment and responsibility. One of the most important
means to realize this growth is the development of technical and personal
competences.
CNH is a
great company to work for and I’m looking forward to a long career with a lot
of opportunities in a challenging and international environment.
Mirco Romagnoli (Chief of Iberia Markets, Spain)
My name is MIRCO ROMAGNOLI, I’m 40 years old and I have been with CNH for 17 years now. I’m
graduated as a Junior Civil Engineering and I have followed a 2 years diploma
post graduation master in Marketing and International marketing at the SADA
(Scuola di Amministrazione e Direzione Aziendale) in Modena, Italy from 1997 to
1998.
I’m
Italian.
Just after
being hired in the company, I was 23 at that time I got the responsibility of
parts sales for the Scandinavian markets, based in Modena.
After two
years I was appointed responsible for parts sales for all European importers,
besides the Scandinavian and Finland I got responsibility for Iceland, Greece
and Switzerland.
I was then
promoted parts sales manager for the Far East and the Middle East, still based
in Modena. My job included frequent business trips to Saudi Arabia, Israel,
Jordan, Japan, Malaysia and Taiwan, among other countries. I got this position
for roughly 2 and half years.
Then I become
responsible for the marketing of additional products, still within the Parts
organization, whit the main objective of setting up in our European network the
parts shop concept and developing a line of additional parts like clothing,
toys and utilities items for farmers.
In 1994 I
was appointed parts sales manager for Latin America (excluding Brazil) and
relocated to our regional office in Ft. Lauderdale (USA). At that time I
travelled all of Latin America and dealt with our network of importers and dealers.
In 1997 I
relocated to Buenos Aires (Argentina) with the responsibility of After Sales
(Parts and Service) for the southern cone markets, Chile, Bolivia, Uruguay and
Paraguay. I had the first team of two people to manage the technical aspect of
the business.
In 1998 I
moved to Curitiba (Brazil) to become After Sales Director for the whole Latin
American region, having responsibility over 150 people and managing several
parts depots, warranty, pricing, service engineers and of course sales of
parts. One of the best achievements besides improving customers satisfaction
and sales of parts have being the project of integration of 6 parts depots into
2 following the integration of the New Holland brand with CIH, ahead of any
other region and with numerous savings for CNH.
In 2001 I
slightly change the pattern of my carrier, becoming Senior Director of
Marketing for Latin America, finally getting much closed to my studies. During
this period of more than two years, my team and I achieved something which is still
unparalleled in our company, such as defining a closed to perfect Brand
strategy for the two brands, New Holland and Case IH. A flawless execution of
the marketing plans resulting from the two strategies completed this
exceptional experience.
In 2004 I
was promoted Vice President of European Marketing, moving from Brazil to our
European headquarters in Basildon (UK). During the two years that I have been
in charge we changed completely the organization to reflect a marketing that
would really take care of the various marketing variables and combined all of
that into differential offering for different type of customer segments and
profile.
Of course
definition and execution of consistent brand strategies have been the focus of
the activity.
At the end
of 2005 I had a chance to become
Responsible for Global Marketing of the New Holland brand having the
possibility to work rebuilding at global level the brand as much as I had done
in my previous two jobs I held.
As of April
this year I was appointed responsible for the Iberian Markets. So far a great
challenge to be able to combine strategic thinking into field base activities
like managing the field forces in a territory. The challenge is even more
interesting due to the fact that we have an ambitious plan to become again the
market leader in terms of share of market.
I have
joined CNH 17 yrs ago as an Intern mostly because I was interested in building
an international knowledge and carrier.
So far I
cannot complain!
I really
cannot think of anything different in my professional life than what I was able
to achieve together with CNH. I really believe that a few companies around the
world can offer the same International environment than CNH for someone that is
willing to put at stake some personal life but receive a lot more in return.
There is not a market that CNH does not cover nor has no presence.
If this is
your idea of the future, this is the right place. Besides the important fact that in our business we are the only
truly international company, were all of the cultures, due to our successful
stories of mergers and acquisitions are represented, both at field level, management level and senior management
level. It’s not uncommon to participate into meeting were 7 or 8 nationalities
are represented. This is an asset that
for a personal development is exceptional.
At the end
my family, is a great picture of the story that I have told you. I’ve got an
Italian wife, and two children, one born in Argentina the other born in Brazil.
So far they speak 3 languages, going to learn the 4th soon. How
exceptional?
So, at the
end of my story.. I just can only add:
Join us!
Rinaldo Tondelli (Vice
President Agricultural European Manufacturing Operations, Belgium)
Rinaldo Tondelli is born in Felino in 1945 and
currently lives in Cento. Since 2003 he is the Vice President Agricultural
European Manufacturing Operations of the Case New Holland Group.
The development of his working career with the
Fiat Group (main shareholder of CNH ), coincides with the progressive evolution
of the CNH Group and the internationalisation of the Jesi Plant from 1977 up to
now.
Rinaldo Tondelli started with Fiat Auto in
Turin in 1969. He was then transferred to various plants within the company
where he excelled as Supervisor of Industrial Engineering, a sector where his
responsibilities increased.
In 1972 he became a member of the Fiat Tractor
Management, as Industrial Engineering Manager, first in the Cento plant where
he stayed 10 years and then in the Modena plant. He also quickly became
Material Management Supervisor and was ready to accept in 1985 a new challenge
across the ocean. In that year he was sent to the Esston Corporation in Kansas
where he was a Project Leader for 2 years. In this capacity he took care of
Restructuring and Cost Reduction.
In 1987 he returned to Italy and became Industrial
Central Staff Manager for the Italian Tractor plants.
In 1992 FIAT AGRI e FORD NEW HOLLAND merged.
With the internationalisation of the Jesi plant Tondelli continued his
managerial activities within Europe for Agricultural Equipment. In 1997 he
became Plant Manager of Jesi.
By now this plant became a manufacturing plant
of the New Holland brand that gained importance worldwide in the agricultural
machinery business, also thanks to the charismatic personality of Tondelli. In
2000 he left Jesi to take responsibilities as Vice President Industrial
Operations Harvesting.
From 2003
onwards he assumed his current position of Vice President Agricultural European
Manufacturing Operations, whereby he coordinates from his office in Zedelgem, the
activities of 9 European Plants.
Comment
from R.Tondelli:
“NOWADAYS
THE COMPETENCES ACQUIRED EITHER IN THE FIAT GROUP OR IN THE VARIOUS
INTERNATIONAL INTEGRATION PROJECTS, TOGETHER WITH AN INCREDIBLE PASSION FOR THE
JOB, MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO ACHIEVE THE
PROFESSIONAL CHALLENGES THAT CNH OFFERS.”
Fanny
Massimi (Talent Acquisition and Development, Belgium)
Hi! My name is Fanny Massimi, and I
am Responsible for Talent Acquisition and Development for CNH in Belgium.
I am Italian, 32 years old,
graduated in Economics.
Getting in touch with other cultures
and different ways of thinking and living always appealed to me, so when Fiat
Group contacted me to join the Fiat Graduated Development Program, which had
the aim to develop managerial skills in recent Graduates, I happily took the
chance.
I spent the first year of the
program at Fiat Auto Nederland, in the Finance Department, as controller of the
sales incentive plan, before “landing” into the Human Resources function, at
CNH Italy, my next development step.
I
worked at the Construction Plant of San Mauro, nearby Turin in Italy where I
followed development and staffing. It was my first working experience in Human
Resources and for three years I could learn a lot about this
function.
CNH is definitely very international
with its worldwide presence and also because of this there are plenty of possibilities in every
function. These possibilities give me the chance to further develop and since
July 2006, I follow Talent Acquisition and Development for the two sites of
Belgium, Antwerp and Zedelgem. I implement and develop processes and tools in
the Talent Acquisition and Development aspects, and I promote CNH to the Labor
Market: Universities, Job Fairs, Career days.
Working in CNH gave me different
perspectives of thinking. It taught me a lot in terms of flexibility and new
ways of doing things, about the others and myself.
